Leah is a self-proclaimed crafting addict. Much to the chagrin of her
parents, her love of making messes from scraps of fabric, glitter and
glue began at an early age. Her crafty interests have ebbed and flowed
but lately she's thinking that she probably inhaled too much glue along
the way because she's attracted to crafts that are ironic or kitschy
or irreverent in some way. Leah is a part-time computer programmer and
part-time crafter who's striving to make crafting a full-time gig. In
August 2003, she started a web community called Craftster.org
who's tagline is "no tea cozies without irony." Much to her surprise
and delight the community now has thousands of members who like to break
the rules of crafting as much as she does.

Dave is a Boston-based illustrator, painter and designer whose commercial
clients have included Sesame Street, the Gap, the WWE (née the
WWF), and Pearson Learning as well as numerous publications. His greater
passion is for handmade goofy hipster T-shirts, snarky greeting cards
and finding a way to tell a good joke on a one-inch button. As well
as being a co-owner of Magpie, he does a lot of nuts and bolts design
of our store (and can be contacted with any questions about advertising
art, our website, graphics-like questions, and that sort of thing).

Tina is a life-long arts and crafts lover who found Magpie a perfect
fit for her eclectic tastes. She manages the day-to-day operations at
Magpie on the weekdays, enjoys crafting and jewelry-making, but finds
that she spends most of her time ogling at all the newest additions of
crafts and artwork in the shop. Tina loves meeting all of the friendly
artists, crafters and art lovers that come through Magpie in Davis Square.
